Dr. Jeremy L. Howes, MD, Bariatric Surgeon
Dr. Jeremy Howes is an American Board of Surgery certified general surgeon, as well as a member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association. A native of Louisiana, Dr. Howes received his doctorate of medicine from Louisiana State University in 2003 and completed his residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita. Dr. Howes joined Wichita Surgical Specialists in 2008 and has maintained an active staff status at Wesley Medical Center since that time.
Dr. Howes served in the Louisiana Army National Guard where he completed his service with the rank of Captain. Throughout his medical studies and career, Dr. Howes has maintained a strong focus on both family medicine and emergency medicine. As such, Dr. Howes developed an interest in bariatric surgery as a means to address many of the related issues he encountered with patients due to morbid obesity. Dr. Howes is excited by the opportunity to utilize his skills as a surgeon to create long-lasting benefits to the quality and longevity of his patients’ lives.
